Centralized Camera Monitoring via Monitoring Software
Our system enables complete visual monitoring of switching positions. Multiple cameras are installed directly at the viewports of the GIS units and deliver Full HD live images via a robust GigE network. The cameras are powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and connected to GigE switches housed in protected distribution cabinets.
At each GIS unit on site, a panel PC with installed monitoring software provides direct access to the camera images of the respective unit. In addition, images from other GIS units within the network can also be viewed. This allows technicians to maintain a constant overview of all relevant switching positions – quickly and efficiently.
The system also enables centralized access from the control room. All GIS units can be monitored via the monitoring software, ensuring that the entire installation remains under continuous and secure supervision. The software supports the assignment of individual roles and access rights, ensuring that each user has exactly the functions and information required for their tasks – ranging from view-only access to advanced control options.

Powerful SGC NG Monitoring Software for Centralized System Overview
The monitoring software is the central tool for the visual monitoring of your GIS switchgear installations. It provides an intuitive user interface and a wide range of features that make operation safer and more efficient.
Flexible display options
Choose between a 3‑phase view for a complete overview or a 1‑phase view for detailed inspection of individual switching positions.
Single-line diagram
The integrated single-line diagram displays the entire substation structure at a glance and simplifies navigation between individual GIS units.
Individual customization
Phases, sections, and devices can be named according to customer requirements, allowing the software to be precisely adapted to your installation.
Reference images for switching positions
Reference images can be stored for each contact position (e.g. Open Switch, Closed Switch, Closed Ground Switch), enabling fast, secure, and unambiguous comparison with current camera images.
Frozen image indicator
The software detects frozen images and displays a frozen image indicator both within the application and directly in the camera image – ensuring maximum operational safety.
