Charging stations at Kappa optronics: How to outsmart supply bottlenecks and a shortage of skilled workers!
E-mobility is promoted at Kappa! 12 charging points at 6 stations are available to Kappa employees for free charging during working hours, with more charging points to follow. Almost 4,000 kWh of green electricity are currently charged per month. Soon it will be "home-grown" electricity from the Kappa roof - the scaffolding for the installation of an 83 kWp PV system is already in place.
Act quickly and be part of the solution was the motto of Johannes Overhues (CEO) in view of the looming crisis on the energy market in 2022. Climate protection is an important topic at Kappa. So in-house capacities were mobilized and in the end, things fell into place: Ex-Kappa colleague Martin Vogel set up his own company, Sunuse GmbH, and was able to ensure speedy procurement. The earthworks were handled by Thorsten Fritzowsky, multi-talented facility manager at Kappa, and even the charging columns were milled in-house (thanks, Marius Hernandez Petzsche) and Andreas Koch (Energy Officer) held the reins. Typical Kappa: realize visions?
